In one sentence: a graphical experiment to find out where design and psychology meet.
The Great Design is the result of a year of hard work. I wanted to find out how much influence "others" have on the creative process. It's interesting to apply principles about conformity on the work of a designer.
Another question I had was: Is design relevant? Does design have an impact on the world? I can tell you most definitely:YES!
When you study conformity you come to the question of rules. Are they here to help, or to kill creativity? Should you know them before you break them, or is a naive approach more useful.
The book plays with all these questions, and I try to answer them in a certain way, but, as you might have guessed, there is no clear cut answer.
Maybe the closest you get to an answer is the exploration itself.
